A Fun Saturday Trip to Pike Central Farm Market
After teaching classes all morning, I always want to get outdoors and refuel. Since I often teach free classes at the Pike District’s Pop-Up Park before teaching two spin classes at Onelife Pike & Rose, the Pike Central Farm Market is a great option! This vibrant market is the perfect place to stock up on fresh, local produce, find unique gift ideas, and, of course, drink some cold brew coffee.

The market is open every Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm from now through December 21, so you can keep coming back to your favorite vendors throughout the year. There are dozens of vendors to check out, and there is a ton of variety.
My first stop on my trip to the Farm Market is Zeke’s Coffee. Here, you can buy fresh beans, and they can grind the beans for you if you’d like. They even asked me what I was using to make my coffee at home so they ground it to the right coarseness! Of course, you can also purchase coffee at the stand.

I also love visiting the farm stands that have fruits, vegetables, herbs, and other plants on display. It’s a more special grocery-buying experience than going into a cold grocery store aisle by aisle.
There is something truly special about picking out fresh tomatoes and greens and making a beautiful salad at home. It makes it extra special to know that it’s all coming from a local farm!

When I want something to eat immediately, there are plenty of options! I usually pay DMV Empanadas a visit, but I finally had cachitos at Panateca, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more! For dessert, make sure you stop by Jarabe for their gourmet paletas (think popsicles). There’s a reason they always have a line!

Plot twist: The Pike Central Farm Market isn’t all food and coffee!
Local artisans sell unique items for your home or to give away as a gift. For example, in the spring, I stocked up on some potted plants in adorable flower pots.
The Farm Market has live music and seating, so you can hang out and vibe – even if you’re not sitting down to eat!

The next time you’re looking to get outdoors on a beautiful Saturday, head over to the Pike Central Farm Market. With its fresh produce, artisan foods, and community atmosphere, it’s the perfect post-workout pick-me-up!
