BOY BRUNCH

Watch the reel HERE

DC is the place to be for sure. For most people in my demographic, DC is the reason we call the DMV home. The culture, the energy, the people, and the vibes. Now, DC is like any other major city with tourism and its isms that come with being in the nation’s capital and sometimes that can be a lottt.

Like, god forbid I go out with friends to get brunch without getting stopped by a motorcade or a random parade/run shutting down the city. And for those moments, I like to venture out to explore the MV in DMV.

When I first came to DC, I lived in Laurel, Maryland for a year, so I’m used to the slow pace, residential feel and that’s what I need when DC is getting a bit too chaotic. So this weekend, we decided to take on Bethesda, MD for a calm Saturday afternoon. TBH, the last time I was out in Bethesda Row was in 2022 or for the Planta restaurant opening, BUT have I been missing out.

Met with my friend at Salt Line for brunch. Now me, I’m a brunch fanatic and love everything brunch. I’m also a seafood fanatic and love everything seafood except for oysters. Now those, I just simply like them. It’s taken me time to get used to them, but I think I’ve officially gotten used to them. Salt Line oysters were excellent and I ate half a dozen. I was super proud of myself, go me. Lobster roll, elite. Then the dessert they brought out- OMGGGG I wanted to get seconds, but I’m trying to keep my summer body 🙁

Afterwards, we walked through Bethesda Row, took in the shops, and saw everything the area had to offer. Restaurants, retail, and so much more. But back to the retail piece, I had an upcoming trip to Greece, so I needed to get some potential pieces. Stopped by Rails and the vibe was very “come here before vacation or warm weather,” which was perfect.

I can’t believe my Bethesda afternoon was coming to an end but it was. Took in the last few moments I had in the safe haven before hopping in my Uber to head back to the city
