SAINTS CONSTANTINE & HELEN GREEK FEST 2019
SEPTEMBER 6-8

It’s all Greek all weekend at this Silver Spring family-friendly and free three-day festival. The Saints Constantine and Helen Orthodox Church of DC bring the Greek Fest to the area for its 58th year, filled with music and dancing, culture, and of course, food and drink. Don’t miss authentic Greek cuisine like moussaka, souvlaki and baklava – and wash it all down with some Ouzo. Opa!

If you’re in the market for expanding your own pet fam, there’s even on-site adoptable pets – go ahead, we dare you not to fall in love with those puppy dog eyes!

Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with a massive festival in downtown DC – Fiesta DC celebrates its 48th year with a Parade of Nations down Constitution Avenue including live entertainment, cultural dance troupes, and contemporary performances from local civic organizations and schools. An afternoon of live Irish music and dancers, authentic Irish cuisine and beer? The Village at Shirlington’s Samuel Beckett’s Irish Gastro Pub delivers its sixth annual Celtic Festival this fall, celebrating all things Irish heritage on Saturday, October 5th. Sip, snack and get your jig on while you shop more than 25 exhibitors ranging from local makers to Irish artisans — you’ll come for the corned beef and cabbage and stay for the Irish pipers performances at this family-friendly affair on Campbell Avenue.

North Bethesda’s premier fall outdoor event returns to Pike & Rose with beers, bites, and the Beach. The 6th annual Piketoberfest is a family-friendly affair – while the brews flow from Owen’s Ordinary’s craft beer tent, you’ll enjoy live music and games, and kids can enjoy sandcastle art over at The Beach at Pike & Rose, plus crafts and activities. The streets of Bethesda transform into an open-air art gallery for the 22nd annual Bethesda Row Arts Festival each fall, featuring more than 200 juried, museum-quality artists showcasing media ranging from 3-D sculpture and photography to jewelry and textile. New this year – the StARTer Gallery on Bethesda Lane, a price-approachable pop-up of up-and-coming artists perfect for the new collector or young art aficionado.

COPPERWOOD TAVERN’S SHUCKTOBERFEST
OCTOBER 19

Octoberfest, but make it oysters. And that’s exactly what you’ll find at Copperwood Tavern’s second annual Shucktoberfest in the Village at Shirlington. The family-friendly beer and oyster festival celebrates all things Virginia, with more than 25 local breweries bringing the beers and three Virginian oyster companies serving up half shells. Tickets are available pre-sale and on-site during the event for $35, which includes 10 tasting tickets for beers (1 ticket) and oysters (2 tickets). Time to get shucking!
