It really is the sweetest time of the year and I am all about traveling the rainbow of berry picking season, from strawberries to blueberries to blackberries. The DMV has so many options for fresh fruit picking, so earlier this summer I took a road trip to visit Larriland Farm, just a short drive from the city.
My experience picking strawberries was so much fun and can be the perfect outing for family and friends. Even if you miss a specific berry season this summer, you can still find the freshest fruit at your local store or farmer’s market.
I’m sure you are asking “what can you do with all these berries once you pick them?” Well, I have a special treat in store for you….
