YOUR WING MAN

We’ve rounded up restaurants with the best atmosphere and wings in MOCO!

Sports & Social

If you’re into a traditional sports bar where you can find great draft beers, class bar wings, and be surrounded by electric fans cheering on every moment, then Sports & Social is the place for you.

There’s a flavor for every fan as you can enjoy their jumbo crispy breaded wings in your choice of buffalo, bbq, zesty garlic parmesan, or bee-sting style.

P.S. Sports & Social will be hosting their Patio Opening Celebration on Saturday, March 25 with food, drink specials, live music, and more. It’s a party you won’t want to miss.

Owen’s Tavern

Another great option that you can’t pass on is the classic Owen’s Tavern. The festive neighborhood restaurant features an impressive lineup of craft beers and an equally impressive plate of wings to go along with that.

The appropriately named Tavern Wings comes in your choice of honey and Calabrian chili or lemon(cello) pepper and is served with gorgonzola crema.

If the weather permits it, try grabbing a table on their outdoor beer garden-style patio.

City Perch

In the mood for a more elevated experience (quite literally)? Then it’s worth heading to City Perch. Whether you have a seat at the bar or on the patio, you’ll find a great view of the neighborhood and enjoy a stylish and cozy atmosphere.

Here you can enjoy a plate of chicken wings in your choice of buffalo with blue cheese, garlic parmesan, or gochujang with honey ricotta.

Matchbox

This familiar favorite is the classic American-fare eatery, Matchbox. Offering a warm and welcoming environment, you can enjoy great eats and great times whether you gather around the bar or grab a table for your party.

Served by the half-dozen, you can order chicken wings in plain, buffalo, or old bay flavors.

Hawkers

Not only can you find great wings at Hawker’s, but the vibe is excellent too. Cool neon signs and cultural pop art cover the walls around the seating area and there is a large center bar serving up a fun selection of cocktails. The ambiance is definitely social, making it a great place to go with friends or for family dinners.

The Asain street-food style restaurant serves their signature Hawker’s Wings available in sweet thai chili, Hainanese, honey sriracha, spring onion ginger, five spice rub, chaun jerk rub flavors.

Chiko

Chiko, the popular Korean/Chinese fast-casual eatery has quickly become one of Bethesda’s neighborhood favorite spot since they opened in 2021.

Try their Double-Fried Chicken Wings with their classic dry spice or their spicy soy glaze. Dine-in or take it to-go, these wings make for great leftovers—that’s if you can fight the temptation to eat them all in one sitting!

Paper Tiger at The Block

Paper Tiger, one of the newer vendors at The Block Food Hall, are well known for their Asian-fusion cuisine. With plenty of seating and a full-service bar, you can always find a good time here and something new to try.

Their Fried Jumbo Chicken Wings are confited, breaded, fried, and then tossed in their house-made chili oil sauté and served with a side of wasabi ranch.

A weekend warrior, I really enjoy getting outside and being in nature, especially with my four-legged friend. When we’re not hiking or exploring, it’s always good to recharge and relax by catching dinner or drinks around the DMV or taking in any of the amazing events and experiences.
