It’s finally summer in the DMV! Here are must-check-out restaurant patios to enjoy the summer sun! 

  1. The newest outdoor patio in North Bethesda features seafood-focused eats with vibrant “board” decor! Recently opened on the roof of the Canopy Hotel, Hello Betty’s one-of-a-kind Boat Bar Patio is perfect for photo-ops and enjoying the summer weather with ample seating, including picnic style tables and swinging patio chairs. (Frosé- $13, Surfside Fizz- $12, Blue Crab and Chorizo Queso Fundito-$15) 
  1. Matchbox in Rockville specializes in new American eats, particularly wood-fired pizzas. This location’s patio spans most of the front of their restaurant, and has thorough coverage so you can sit comfortably outside! With a working firepit and heaters, this patio is one you’ll want to remember year round. (Apple Orange Sangria- $14, Pineberry Sangria-$14, Matchbox Meat-$20, Crispy Chicken Sandwich-$18, Side Caesar- $5) 
  1. Tucked behind Bethesda lane, Hawkers Asian Street Food’s patio is an open extension of their restaurant during spring and summer. With seating, including booths and high top options, you can enjoy their food hall inspired bites and seasonal tiki drinks. (Five-Spice Old Fashioned- $14, Sake-Lada $12, O.G. Painkiller- $13, Lemongrass Mojito- $11, Koream Twice Fried Wings-$13) 
  1. Flower Child sits at the corner of Wildwood, and their patio is marked with summery light decor and bistro-style seating. Under their striped umbrellas is the perfect spot for a quick lunch or to catch some rays. This restaurant offers a variety of nutritious eats, prioritizing fresh and health-conscious food. (Yaki Noodles Bowl- $14.50, Decoy Rosé- $10)
