Ah, sweet Sunday. Recently, it’s become one of my favorite days of the week — no Sunday scaries here! — and that’s because I make a conscious effort to keep it plan-free so that I can focus on my #SundayReset to set myself up for success for the week ahead. If you’re unfamiliar with the term, it stems from a popular TikTok trend where people share how they use their Sunday to ‘reset’ their lives and homes by cleaning, meal prepping, and getting organized.
To help you prep for your own #SundayReset, I wanted to share some of my favorite tips and products to make it easy — and fun!:
Get Organized

The first step of my #SundayReset is to get organized. I empty the dishwasher, strip the bed and put on fresh sheets, start a load of laundry, and put away all the random items I’ve left about throughout the week — water glasses, computer chargers, sunglasses, the clean clothes that have needed folding for several days.
What makes organizing easier for me is ensuring everything has a thoughtful storage solution in my home. The Container Store makes this so easy because you can find a container or way to corral just about anything. Personally, I’m a big fan of clear acrylic containers to hold everything from desk supplies to makeup to accessories like sunglasses and headbands. I find that when I subdivide a larger space — like a drawer or a shelf — into smaller ones, it makes it that much easier to stay organized.
Get Cleaning

Once I’ve got everything organized, it’s time to clean. I usually pick an area of my apartment each week to deep clean — like the bathroom or my bedroom — and then spot clean the rest. This system helps me keep a relatively clean apartment at all times, without having to spend hours cleaning each week. I stock up on my favorite dusters, all-purpose cleaners, dish soap, and bathroom cleaning supplies at Target. But the best tool in my arsenal— that I also grabbed at Target — is the Bissell Steam Mop. It is so satisfying to use, and my floors have never been cleaner. If you don’t own one yet, it’s a must-buy in my opinion.
Get Meal Prepped

The final step of my #SundayReset is to head to the grocery store and stock up on fresh ingredients and snacks for the week. I usually pick several dinner recipes I want to try, do a pantry review to see what staples I need to stock up on, and think about what snacks I might like to eat, and then head out to Fresh Market or Harris Teeter. Once I’m home, I refill my airtight OXO containers of flour, sugar, and rice I picked up from TJ Maxx (they are the best investment for keeping pantry staples fresh!), wash all my produce, and make myself a delicious + healthy home cooked meal.
Treat Yourself

Once my #SundayReset routine is complete, I light my favorite candle ever, the Capri Blue Volcano candle, which I buy every time I set foot in Anthropologie, and put on a binge-worthy television show. After all that organizing, cleaning, and meal prepping, you deserve to put your feet up and treat yourself — it is still the weekend after all!
While I am enjoying my #SundayReset, I love to throw on a great playlist of upbeat, fun songs — and I’m sharing a sampling of my favorite over on the Spotify Sonder/Sway channel. Be sure to follow along and give it a listen!
